Scaled Gradient - Fonteyn & Fotheringhay Castle

Hi guys! After several super bright and colorful mani I did recently, I find myself steered toward a more neutral shades when picking the polishes to use for my mani today. 
My first pick was A England Fonteyn, then I chose Glam Polish Comet Storm to layer over it , and A England Fotheringhay Castle to use in the scaled gradient. This was a quick mani, done in about 30-40 mins. I consider it quick for a nail art look. I quite love the result too! 

I just love looking at the flakie up close, so pretty!

Born Pretty Store Stamping Plate Review - BP-L 004

Hi guys! Today I have another stamping plate review from Born Pretty Store. I created a stamping decal using one of the designs from plate BP-L 004, which you can find in this link, and you can use my code NVG10 to take 10% off your purchase.

I cannot say this for every single design on this plate, since I haven't tried them all. But the one I used picked up really easy. I used Mundo de Unas Black and Konad stamper. 
The plate has 21 designs, on a rectangular plate with a pink plastic backing and paper sleeve. 
The plate measurement is 12cmx6cm. The plastic backing add 1cm to the total measurement, 13cmx7cm. The design size is 1,5cmx1,7cm. The width is more than enough to fit my nails, even the thumb. The height is just enough for my current length, and a bit short to fit my thumb. 

I used the design on the top row, far right. 

I used more than a dozen polishes for this decals, I started with 7 polishes and find myself going back and forth to my melmer for more polish. I added half moon design after I put on the decals, wanted to use glitter instead of dots around the moon but couldn't find anything I like for it.

A England Gloriana & Fotheringhay Castle

Hi guys! I'm sure you have heard/seen A England latest release, Elizabeth & Mary collection. Harlow & Co. kindly provided me with 2 of them to share with you today. My A England collection is really quite small, but every single one I own has a perfect formula, easy to apply and very opaque. These two are no exception.

Gloriana, a vibrant red loaded with ultra fine gold flakes. The combination gives an almost metallic finish look. On my skin tone it leans a bit orange in some light. I used 2 coats and top coat.

Fotheringhay Castle, an olive shade with subtle gold shimmer and scattered holo. This is quite unique in my collection, since I'm usually drawn to this type of green. I think this is a great fall shade. I used 2 coats and top coat.

A England Dancing With Nureyev

Hi guys! How's your weekend going? I'm sorry it's been quiet around here. I was having bad cuticle days, lol. Is there such thing? Well, I say there is. It's one of those days when no matter how many times I push and moisturized them, they just look thick and unappealing. 

Anyway, I have been wearing this mani I'm about to show you since yesterday. I received these polishes as a prize for Valentine nail art contest from Nail Polish Canada (thank you NPC!), and haven't had a chance to wear them until now. 

At first I was only wearing Dancing With Nureyev, plain. Although I was totally amazed by it when I went outside, I couldn't help myself, I just need to do some nail art on it. Since this collection consists of delicate looking polishes, I just did a simple nail art. I kinda love them. I did a half moon chevron (or reverse chevron?) with the rest of the shades from the collection (Encore Margot, Fonteyn, & Her Rose Adagio). All was done with a nail art brush, topped with HK Girl top coat.

Ballerina collection was released in 2013, and there are plenty of swatches out there. Would you still be interested in seeing swatches for them here? 

Anyway, lets wander off topic for a bit before I close this post. I just want to say that this is the perfect nail length for me! I'm totally comfortable with it, and it doesn't look super nubs even though I barely have a mm of free edge.What is the nail length (and shape) you love and prefer/wish to have? A England Lady of The Lake

Hi guys!

Today I want to show you another first-for-me polish from A England, Lady of The Lake. I have heard a lot of good things about this brand, I'm glad I finally decided to try it. Lady of The Lake is a purple polish with scattered holographic effect. Even though the holo is not linear like what most people love, I can honestly say that it's just as gorgeous. The formula is perfect on this one, great opacity, very easy to apply. 

I did a simple nail art with striping tape. The look I was going for is asymmetrical chevron, it didn't translate quite as I imagined, looked better in my head, lol! The base color I used here is OPI Steady as She Rose.

I also swatched Lady of The Lake on its own, and I did it on my cinderella hand, lol! It's not as good looking as my usual swatch hand, but hey, it does all the work, I don't want it to be jealous that I never feature it. I have to tell you, it was not easy to pose and take pictures, it's like my right hand has a mind of its own! Just fyi, you might notice that the label on the bottle looks backward, it's because I flipped the pics so they don't look too weird.
