Purple Hearts

Hi guys! I'm back! Sorry for the sudden disappearance. The bf had the entire week off, so I was a bit occupied, spending more quality time with him :). I had the same polish on for almost a week and just changed them yesterday for my day out on Sunday. I told a friend to pick a colour to get me started, and she picked lilac. I took out a bunch of my lilac/purple polish and ended up with this..
Although it doesn't really show, I used 4 shades of purple/lilac for the gradient, OPI Do You Lilac It?, KBShimmer Hugs and Wishes, piCture pOlish Twinkle, and OPI Rumple's Wiggin which I also used for the gradient base.
I painted little hearts using piCture pOlish Violet Femme and a detail brush on my index and pinkie, and stamped the knitted heart image from Bundle Monster plate H01 using Color Club Eternal Beauty. I sealed everything with one coat of HK Girl top coat.

I think this is cute enough to wear for Valentine's Day if you're already pink overload with a million other V-day nails floating around online :)

piCture pOlish Hope - Snowflake'd

Hi guys! I was loving all the snowflake mani I saw on Monday, so today I want to have them on my nails. With my choice of polish today, this mani was done real quick, since I didn't really want to cover up the pretty base colour.

I used 3 thin coats of piCture pOlish Hope, although 2 would've sufficed. Perfect formula, and the sparkles are just so gorgeous!

For the snowflake stamping, I used the image from Bundle Monster plate H01 and A England Encore Margot. I love that it gives a subtle stamping effect, but lit up when the lights hit them.

Hope you're all having a great hump day! ;)

Happy Halloween!

Trick or treat! No candies here, but how about I treat you with my NOTD for halloween instead? Yes? Awesome :D

I have such mixed feelings about this mani. I love the gradient in the background, but the clean up was such a pain and I couldn't even get them all nice and clean. I used 4 OPI shades for the gradient, Suzi & The 7 Dusseldorfs, Juice Bar Hopping, Where Did Suzi Man-go?, Good Grief!. The plate I used here is Bundle Monster BM-H06, which also happen to be the only halloween plate I have, gifted by Nail Polish Canada
I screwed up this mani so many times I almost wanted to just take them off and forget about it! I had to redo the gradient on two nails cause I nicked them with my nail. Then I accidentally stamped the pumpkins on my index when I wanted to do my middle nail. That really threw me off from what I wanted to do, hence the weird looking blue stamping that look like they don't belong there. Lol! But my thumb is awesome, my favorite part of this mani!

Have a spooky halloween! Don't eat too much candy!

Purple Easter Manicure

It's the Easter weekend! What are your plans for this long weekend? I have nothing special planned so far, other than staying in and watching Netflix (boo :p) but I hope the weather will be great for those who plan on spending time outdoor.
This mani was planned to be my official easter mani, but now I'm not sure how long I'll be keeping it. The image stamped here are from Bundle Monster holiday set plate BM-H10. It has a complete easter themed images. This plate can be purchased as a set or individually from Nail Polish Canada.

The base color here is Dior Lilac Colorvision, I've been wearing it for almost 2 days. The glitter used on my index and middle nails is Lynnderella Candy Blossom, and the glitter on my ring nail is Picture Polish Mardi Gras. I stamped the bunny and easter eggs with OPI Alpine Snow, the flowers with Konad red, and the chick (thumb) with Konad yellow. I used OPI Sheer Tints to color over the easter eggs on my pinkie and thumb. Sealed off everything with HK Girl top coat.

Here's Dior Lilac Colorvision on its own.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend and Happy Easter!

All You Need Is LOVE

Hi guys!

More V-day mani? Why not! ;) As I was doing my nails, suddenly a song stuck in my head, from the movie "Love, Actually' and it's the one that was sung on Juliet & what's his name wedding. So I used the line that stuck in my head as this post title.

I'm in the mood of playing with my background (base) instead of just painting them with plain color. The background was created using a flat nail art brush and several shades of pinks, red,and purple (all OPI), over a white base. I simply just drag the brush forming a rectangle shape, horizontal & vertically. I used just a little amount of polish on the brush, as I didn't want to make an opaque brush stroke. Anyway, this is very easy, minimal or no clean up required, and you can do no wrong with it.
After I'm done, I added one coat of INM Norther Lights and top coat, and wait until they are completely dry. The stamping plate I used here is from Bundle Monster 2013 Holiday collection, plate H16. I used OPI My Boyfriend Scales The Walls & hina Glaze Liquid Leather to stamp the "Love" on my middle and ring, and Konad purple stamping polish to stamp the flowers. I sealed everything with HK Girl top coat.

For Canadians, you can get Bundle Monster plates from Nail Polish Canada, and if you don't want to get the whole set, no worries! they are also selling the plate individually :)
So, what will be your V-day mani?

Catch The Sparkles!

Happy Monday!

Today I'm wearing a super blingy mani with some stamping on top. With all the sparkles from the polish I used, I didn't really need to add anything, it's already spectacular! But I was just curious to see how it looks with some stamping.

I'm wearing Girly Bits ASHBSIMB (A Stripper Has Been Sleeping In My Bed) over a dusty denim blue. The plate I'm using here is BM-310 stamped with OPI My Boyfriend Scales The Walls, and of course all sealed with HK Girl top coat.

And here's ASHBSIMB on its own.

This super sparkly glitter is currently out of stock at Girly Bits, but keep an eye for it, I'm sure it will be back in stock soon. Or you can check out their distributors all around the world for stock availability here.

Christmas Presents Skittle

Hi guys!!

Tonight I have another christmas themed nail art to share with you. This is also my last entry for Nail Polish Canada Holiday Nail Art challenge, and the theme is "Holiday Memories" which can be anything holiday related. Since I don't have a specific holiday memories I can use as inspiration, I chose the first thing that popped up in my head when I think about the holiday season, presents! I mean, who doesn't love presents?! So I created this skittle mani of gift wrapped christmas present!

As the result of my procrastinating habit, I'm not entirely happy with the result. They're ok, I like 1-2 nails (yes, I'm playing favorite on my nails :p). But honestly, they could be better.

Here's the details of what I used:
Thumb: base color CbL Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, stamped with Color Club Harp On It and BM-323 plate. For the ribbon, I used Zoya Rocky.
Index: base color OPI Under The Mistletoe, stamped with Color Club Cloud Nine and Pueen 46 plate. For the ribbon, I used Zoya Tomoko lined with CbL Behead The Drama Queen.
Middle: base color CbL Zipper, decal stamped with Girly Bits Peel Here, OPI Under The Mistletoe, Color Club Harp On It and Pueen 38 plate. I used CbL Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star for the ribbon.
Ring: base color Illamasqua Radium, stamped with CbL Behead The Drama Queen and Pueen 42 plate. OPI Under The Mistletoe is used for the ribbon.
Pinkie: base color Girly Bits Peel Here, dotted with CbL Behead The Drama Queen  & OPI Under The Mistletoe. For The ribbon, I used OPI This Gown Needs A Crown lined with CbL Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.

My favorite is the thumb. It's probably better if I didn't use textured/glitter polishes for the ribbon like I did on my index and pinkie. The ribbon ended up taking too much space on the nail and you can barely see what's going on under it, lol.
What do you guys think? :) If you like it, you could head over here and give me your vote. That would be totally awesome!

Pink Mani For Breast Cancer Awareness

Hi guys!!

Just a quick post to share my pink mani for breast cancer awareness month. I wanted to do this pink mani last week, but for some reason I got distracted and forgot about it. So here it is..

For the base, I used 3 thin coats of ILNP Bunny Tail, a light pink creme.
On my middle finger, I did a half moon mani and used OPI More Than A Glimmer and decals from the Pink of Hearts 2013 set.
The herringbone on my index and ring nails are with piCture pOlish Shocked. I used tape on half of the herringbone on my ring nail, but got impatient waiting for it to dry I decided to free-hand the rest.
On my thumb and pinkie, I used a layer of Sally Hansen 100 Wool Lite, and then stamped over it with Bundle Monster BM-317 and ILNP Sniffany.
All finished off with one coat of Poshe.

31DC2013 Day 26:Inspired By a Pattern

Hi guys!

For today challenge, I'm keeping it quick and simple. I was going to do stripes pattern, then remembered that there's already a stripe day. So I chose to do houndstooth pattern with my Bundle Monster plate. Easy peasy!

Base color: ILNP Grape Taffy
Stamping polish: ILNP Sniffany
Nail plate: BM-322

31DC2013 Day 15: Delicate Print

Hi guys!

I'm cutting it close again on today's challenge. Glad I finally able to lift my lazy butt and get started on my mani before midnight, lol. When first I saw the theme challenge, I was so sure that I'll be doing some free hand mani today. But now that the day has come, I decided to do something easy and simple, yet still has that delicate feel when you look at it.

I chose a light lavender for my base color, OPI You're Such a Budapest is such a perfect shade for it. Then I added a layer of OPI Which is Witch?. These combo alone make a gorgeous mani! I put a layer of top coat and waited for it dry before I start stamping over it. I used Bundle Monster BM-314 and Butter London Cotton Buds for the stamping.

I have to say, I really love this mani! So pretty and didn't take a lot of time to do at all, which won't make me feel bad to remove it tomorrow! Haha!

Orly Glowstick (And Some Nail Art)

Hi guys!

Summer doesn't feel complete without some in-your-face neon nails, and I have just the perfect polish for it! Orly Glowstick. What an appropriate name for this polish!

As most of neon polish does, this tend to be a bit streaky to wear on its own, and I just don't feel like dealing with streaky polish. So I layered it over white polish. I used 2 thin coats and it looks perfect! Well, aside for the rubbery finish, but that an easy fix, apply top coat, and voila! I have a glossy neon mani.

As expected, my camera freaked out a bit. It's a bit more brighter in person, and the yellow is like highlighter yellow to me.

Orly Glowstick

Orly Glowstick
And then (of course) I added a little bit of nail art. I used Bundle monster BM-319 from 2012  collection set, and stamped with Zoya Hazel. I think of it like a filter for the brightness, although it doesn't really help much, but that's a good thing I guess :p

All my polishes and stamping plate I used here were purchased from Nail Polish Canada. They are currently offering free shipping with no minimum to anywhere in Canada. Go check them out! :)
What do you think of the stamping combo I used? The design looks subtle, but I personally love it!

Floral On Stripes

Happy Monday!!

After posting several swatch posts in the last few days, I feel like doing some nail art again. Today I'll be sharing this stamp mani I did with my Bundle Monster plates. I actually did a combination of striping tape mani and stamping, cause I just like to complicate things :p lol! No, just kidding.. the combo seemed good in my head, and I want to see how they translate in the nails.

For the base, I started with painting my thumb, middle, pinkie with white polish (OPI My Boyfriend Scales The Walls) and index & ring with Zoya Darcy. After they are completely dry, I used striping tape and painted over the whites with Sally Hansen Mint Sorbet, and Zoya Darcy with white. The striping tape need to be peeled off right away, I did this one nail at a time. Top coat them and let dry.

For the stamping, on my thumb, middle, and pinky I used BM-308 stamped with OPI Jade is The New Black. For my index and ring I used BM-306 stamped with Zoya Thandie.

I like how they look! Didn't think orange and green would go together, but they look kind of cute here. What do you think? :)

Rainbow And Clouds On The Blue Sky

Hi guys!!

Are you sick of seeing gradient mani yet? I hope not! I think I have a gradient fever for now, and what is it with me and the need to use so many colors in one mani?! Lol. I guess I picked an appropriate name for my blog :p

For the (supposed) sky, I did a blue gradient using 4 shades of blue (OPI What's With The Cattitude, Zoya Yummy, OPI Ogre The Shrek Blue, OPI Eurso..Euro). I used Bundle Monster plate 312 for the clouds, stamped with OPI Alpine Snow.
The rainbow gradient on my thumb and ring fingers was made with Zoya Yana, Zoya Rocky, Zoya Josie, Color Club Pucci-licious, topped off with INM Northern Lights.
