Catch The Sparkles!

Happy Monday!

Today I'm wearing a super blingy mani with some stamping on top. With all the sparkles from the polish I used, I didn't really need to add anything, it's already spectacular! But I was just curious to see how it looks with some stamping.

I'm wearing Girly Bits ASHBSIMB (A Stripper Has Been Sleeping In My Bed) over a dusty denim blue. The plate I'm using here is BM-310 stamped with OPI My Boyfriend Scales The Walls, and of course all sealed with HK Girl top coat.

And here's ASHBSIMB on its own.

This super sparkly glitter is currently out of stock at Girly Bits, but keep an eye for it, I'm sure it will be back in stock soon. Or you can check out their distributors all around the world for stock availability here.

Swatches: ILNP Sweet Serenade

Hi guys!

Today I'm showing you another polish from my untried stash, Sweet Serenade from I Love Nail Polish brand. I just noticed most of my new polishes are blue, in different shades and finish. I must really like blues! :p

Sweet Serenade is a multichrome effect polish, but to me it's a little different than most of the color shifting polish I have. It's definitely not crazy shifting like Birefringence, where you can see multiple color on the nails at once. But it does change color in different lightning or in different hand positions. I noticed that after I finished painting my nails and went to do something in the kitchen, and of course it distracted me from what I was about to do, lol.
I used 3 thin coats of the polish and HK Girl top coat here. Most of the time it just looks blue, but on occasion I did see it turn to green or purple. The blue and violet sparkles add a little something to the finish.

Sweet Serenada, along with other ILNP polishes can be purchased directly from their website here. There are so many beautiful colors and finishes to choose from. I know I still have quite a few on my wish list as well ;)
Hope you're enjoying your weekend!

Stripes Over Stripes

Hi guys!

It's friday! So how about some colorful nails? Personally, I would wear colorful rainbow nails any day of the week ;)
Today I'm just doing a colorful stripes. I probably shouldn't said 'just', it's simple but stripes is still something I haven't mastered properly without the help of tape.

The colors I'm using here are Zoya Yana, China Glaze Aquadelic, and OPI Funkey Dunkey. On top of each big stripe, I made a smaller stripe with all piCTure pOlish shade, Shocked, Lagoon, and Imperial, with the help of striping tape. Finished off with a thick coat of HK Girl top coat.

Have an awesome friday!

Swatches: Enchanted Polish Mercy

Hi guys!

Happy hump day! Today I have an absolute gorgeous polish (but unfortunately not mine) to share with you. I picked this up for a friend, along with other polishes for myself on the last Enchanted restock. She's kind enough to let me try it, and I kind of regret that I did, cause now I really want it!

Enchanted Polish Mercy
Isn't it gorgeous?? It's a dusty medium purple shade. The holo isn't the strongest, but it's ok for me. I swear I saw a slight shimmer in a low lightning. I was completely swoon over this! I love my purples. This is two thin coats with HK girl top coat. Great opacity and formula.

Hope you're all having a fabulous day! Stay warm!

Hello 2014!

Hi guys!!

I am back.
Yes, it's a little late for a 'hello 2014' post, seeing that we're almost a week into the new year. But I always think better late than never! :p
It feels like forever since I've done an actual nail art, I felt like I'm making my first nail art post. No worries though, I'll warm up to it and get my creative juice running again.
Today I had no specific idea of what I wanted to do, only picked the colors I want to use. Then I decided to try and practice my free hand roses again. I'm kind of terrible in free handed floral, so it's definitely something I need to improve this year.

I used China Glaze Pinkie Promise as the base, and made a sponged gradient on my middle & ring nails with  China Glaze Gothic Lolita. I used the same color for the roses, and used CG Pinkie Promise and OPI Funky Dunkey for the swirls inside the roses. The leaves were made with Zoya Josie & OPI Jade Is The New Black
I stamped a butterfly from Pueen 39 using Color Club Harp On It & Over The Moon. I left my thumb plain because I really like Pinkie Promise on its own. Everything was sealed perfectly with Glisten & Glow HK Girl top coat.

If you're following me on instagram, I'm still unable to post anything because of my phone issue. I have a galaxy tab, the first one, but I haven't used it in ages and I'm android challenged. Still can't figure out how to update the software so it can support instagram.
Bye now! :)
