Hi guys! I had another post ready for today, but then I thought it would be nice to start the week with a nail art post instead. Plus I've been wanting to try my new brush from SharingVu. It feels like forever since I did a full free hand nail art. Today I did a semi intricate nail art, swirls, started with black near the cuticles then 4 shades of purple going down to the tips.
I find the brush is really good for delicate nail art, though the polish/paint used seem to affect the result too. I realize that using nail polish will shorten the life of any nail art brushes, even with good care, at least that's what happened with all my brushes. I'm just not ready to switch to acrylic paints yet.
I sealed the design with HK Girl top coat and added INM Northern Lights for subtle sparkle.
For those who enjoys free hand nail art, what is your favorite brush?

This is awesome! Love this look.
ReplyDeleteThanks Debbie! :)
DeleteBeautiful! I admire your freehand skills. Mine aren't so steady!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteThis is so pretty! I have a multi-colored stamping manicure on my to do list, even though I know this isn't stamping. My hands shake way to much to be able to do something like this free hand.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I've been wanting to do multi colored stamping too! I'm loving all the ones I've seen lately :)
DeleteWOW!!! These are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThis is so beautiful! I love love love the subtle sparkle you did with it, too! I totally did think it was multi-colored stamping at first, too! Really well done.
ReplyDeleteThank you!! I like to northern light everrrything, lol!
DeleteWow - your freehand is crazy awesome! Great mani, I love the gradient design!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I wish I picked a better shade for the dark purple, it's totally blended in with the black.

DeleteSuch a wonderful look - just gorgeous! I've been thinking about buying one of those brushes - seems like it works well for you!
ReplyDeleteHoly moly your free hand looks like stamping! So beautiful and I love the colors you chose!
ReplyDeleteI really like the gradient of the design!
ReplyDeleteI saw your nailart on IG (or FB?) yesterday and I totally thought it was stamped. Now I am impressed to read i's hand work, you are so good! The only brush I use it to clean my cuticles LOL :)
ReplyDeleteI love this design! I'm curious to try these brushes. My favourites so far are the Winstonia kolinsky sable. I have an #000 but I want to get the #0000. I also love the Pure Color Glamor 1 from Stylish Nail Art but she's been closed for awhile and mine is starting to reach the end of its life. :(
ReplyDeleteThanks Meghan! :) Just checked out Winstonia #0000, looks like a great size brush for detailing, and it's in stock! I think I'm going to get it :D
DeleteOhhh, this looks awesome! I'm super impressed with how your spirals came out. I've been using acrylic paint for my nail art for a while now and can't paint anything detailed with nail polish. Great work!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I have been wanting to try acrylic paints, but I'm really running out of storage for my nail stuff!
DeleteI need better nail art brushes. I could never do an intricate design like this with the ones I have. Great work! It looks perfect!
