Dollish Polish Care Bear Stare

Hi guys!

Today I'm showing you my new pretty that has just arrived yesterday. It's one of the shade from Dollish Polish Cartoon Character collection, Care Bear Stare. This polish is a glitter topper, clear base with hexes, squares, and round glitters in various sizes and pastel shades. Not just that, it also has stars and butterfly glitters in it!

I used 1 coat of Care Bear Stare here over OPI Suzi & 7 Dusseldorf, and 1 coat of INM Out The Door. I put the bottle upside down while painting the base color, didn't find much trouble getting the glitters on the brush, except for the butterfly! I had to fish for it, and only manage to get one. Maybe I need a net instead of a brush, lol! Joking! I love how it looks! If you want glitters that not too in-your-face sparkly, this is it.

I'm still on the fence if I like how they are stamped. I used Konad nail plate m65 and OPI Pink Friday for the stamp. I also tried Care Bear Stare over several colors, as shown below. I like them all! Base colors used from thumb-pinkie: NOPI Stand by Your Manny, OPI Ski Teal We Drop, OPI 20 Candles on My Cake, Zoya Josie, OPI Steady as She Rose.

Stripes and (another) Water Marble

It's Lazy Monday!

I'm feeling uninspired and a bit lazy today (hence the greeting), but I still want to do my nails..and some simple nail art. I had no idea what I wanted for my nails, I just know it has to have some purple on it. And this is what I come up with..

The water marble turned out kind of.. ok. Not lovin' it, but still cool to look at. I used OPI Anti Bleak, Need Sunglasses, and Sally Hansen Lacey Lilac. For the stripes, I used OPI You're Such a Budapest and Anti Bleak. I gave my striping tape another chance, since the new ones still on the way. It wasn't as bad this time, but there's still some silver residue left on the nail. Oh well..

Looking at my top-coated nails, I still felt like something is just not right. Lol! Have you ever get that feeling after you're finished doing your nails? So, I decided maybe they will look better mattified. And.. Voila!

I'm glad I added the matte tc. I like it better this way! Although I'm still not sure if I want to keep this mani :p What's on your nail today?

Water Marble with Sally Hansen

Happy Weekend!

Soo.. I've been hearing that Sally Hansen is one of the polish brand to go for water marble, and I had to give it a try to see if it's true. Picked up 3 colors yesterday, Lacey Lilac, Mint Sorbet, and Coral Reef. All happen to be pastels, cause who doesn't love pastels? ;)

I have to say, I'm really happy with them! All spread out really nicely, and didn't dry up too quick so I didn't have to rush to do the design (not that I had many design ideas in mind, lol). I didn't have to re-do them at all! That's a first for me.

In person, they are not as pale as it is shown here. I have no idea why! It's the same when I uploaded it on my instagram. So, how was your water marble experience? I'll be buying more SH colors, for sure ;)

(Kinda) Fail Skittle Color Block

Hi All :)

This is just a short post to show you my (unsuccessful) color block mani. I did this two days ago, and because of the result, I hesitated if I want to make a post out of it. Despite of not liking the result, I really likes the colors combination I used, so here it is..

Why I said this is a fail? I used a silver striping tape for this, and when I pull it off, it left silver residue on the nails, which made the base color looks 'dirty'. You probably can't see it on the picture because of the holo top coat I used. Another thing, I experimented with different top coat on my middle, ring, and pinkie. It smeared a bit. Not so much that it totally ruined the design, but the line is not as crisp as I wanted them to be anymore.

I'm definitely going to try this again, once I got my new striping tape!

Products used:
My Vampire is Buff (base)
Thumb: OPI Call Me Gwen-ever - OPI Osaka to Me Orange
Index: Color Club Pucci-Licious - OPI You're such a Budapest
Middle: OPI Jade is The New Black - Zoya Josie
Ring: Zoya Darcy - OPI Banana Bandana
Pinkie: OPI Dim Sum Plum - OPI Lucky Lucky Lavender
INM Northern Lights

Enchanted Polish Future Reflections

Hello all!

Today I am showing you one Future Reflections, it is one of the polish from Enchanted's new collection Time to Pretend. I was so excited to try this, as they are all look SO pretty in the bottle. On the nails, it doesn't disappoint!

First pic I'm showing you here was taken in the shade. You can't see the holo effect, but I'm still entertain looking at the color shifting. Too bad my camera couldn't capture it well :(

The rest of the pictures were taken under natural lights.

For these swatches, I used 2 coats without top coat. Later on I put on one coat of Out The Door TC, and happy to see that it doesn't dull the holo. I could have gotten away with just one coat here, the formula is really good and easy to work with. As most of you probably already know, Enchanted Polish is hard to get, but it's totally worth the wait!

I purchased this polish during EP restock. You might want to sign up to her newsletter here to make sure you won't miss the announcement. You can also stalk some online retailers who carry this brand, like LlaroweNail Polish CanadaHarlow&CoMei Mei Signatures.
