piCture pOlish Geode

Hi loves! Happy hump day! I haven't been doing any nail art lately, I have ideas flowing in my head but completely zero motivation to start on it. So meanwhile I'm gathering my nail art mojo back, let me entertain you with my swatches and NoTD posts, mm-kay?

I wore piCture pOlish Geode (a collaboration shade with Every Sensory blog) to a thanksgiving dinner last Sunday. I surprisingly liked this a lot more than I thought I would, had it on for two days before I get bored and need to see something else on my nails.
Formula and application was okay, I got it opaque in 3 thin coats. I did, however, have to shake the bottle several times during application. The glitter settled to the bottom pretty quick, but shaking fixed it, no biggie.
Oh, another thing, I usually take pics for my blog right after I finished the mani. These pics here were taken right before removal. So it's a 2 days old manicure. I mentioned this because I was testing piCture pOlish new top coat, Gloss on Top!. Though this is not my official review, I just want to mention that after 2 days, there are no chips or even tip wear, as you can see in the pics.

Just a random thought.. my nails look really long here! Time to clip them short again? or grow them longer and try a different shape? hmm..

  1. Great swatch!! I really like Geode - it was one of my first piCture pOlishes. I think your nails look lovely at your current length, but I bet they'd look great no matter what you do with them :)

  4. Wow, that top coat definitely looks great! I can't decide if I like this shade or not- I love your swatches of it, I like the colors together, but it's almost missing something for me....maybe some larger or smaller glitters, hmm. Still pretty, though!

    1. I like it as it is, but I think more tiny glitter in a darker shade would make this even prettier.

  12. This polish is beautiful! And two days with no tip wear? My manicure today didn't even make it through my first half hour of class without chipping /: I think I need this topcoat!

    1. Yup, I consider 2 days without tip wear is really good. I don't wear the same nails for more than that to care if they last longer.. haha

  13. Your nails look so good this long! I can't grow them like this because my middle finger nails tend to bend downwards :(

    1. Thank you! I don't usually let them grow this long, so this is kinda exciting..and dangerous, cause I keep accidentally stab myself with the sharp corners.. lol

  14. Great pictures of Geode! I agree your nails do look really long! I bet oval would look really great on you since your cuticle line is perfectly curved.

    1. I am thinking of reshaping them to oval! I'm gonna wait and let them grow a little bit more before I shape them :)

  15. Oooh I reallly like the shimmer in there (I didn't realize it had shimmer!). I think your nails look fab, but I love them shorter. I'm sort of like that, I have to file mine down when they get a bit long because I'm always a shorter nail girl at heart. :D
